Sony 3mm Thick OLED TV

01.02.08

Sony has developed a prototype display set which is able to produce high quality images, brightness, resolution and contrast, but can be displayed from a screen which is only 3-mm in depth. It works using super top emission technology combined with microcavity structure and color filters. In laymen’s terms, this means that it can achieve picture clarity which can be viewed from many angles maintaining high resolution. The product uses organic light emitting diodes which have seen an increase in popularity from manufacturers.
