South Korea Loses Contact With First Satellite

Woops. reports that South Korea’s first satellite launched on December 21st, 1999 stopped responding on December 30th 2007.

“Our efforts to restore communication with the Arirang 1 satellite have been unsuccessful,” an institute official said. 

For such a High-Tech nation isn’t it odd that they’re so far behind in the space department?
